PT PMSE and Purwakarta District Attorney Successfully Conducted CSR Program to Commemorate International Disability Day 2024
In commemorating the International Disability Day 2024, PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Masdar Solar Energi (PMSE), in collaboration with the Purwakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta), successfully carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on December 6, 2024. The event, which was held in Purwakarta, focused on providing support to vulnerable groups, especially people with disabilities, as well as promoting environmental sustainability through green initiatives.
The day’s events began with a series of charitable activities, aimed at supporting local communities in need. PMSE, together with Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta, distributed basic food packages to the elderly, orphans, and families with children suffering from stunting. These donations were part of the companies' ongoing efforts to improve the welfare of underprivileged groups in the region. These charity initiatives took place in two subdistricts in Purwakarta: Plered and Maniis.
In addition to food aid, the program also made significant contributions to people with disabilities. The collaboration between PMSE and Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta resulted in the donation of hearing aids for those with hearing impairments and prosthetic limbs for individuals who had lost their limbs. This initiative was aimed at helping people with disabilities regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
The event was not only about social service but also about raising awareness for environmental sustainability. As part of the Go Green campaign, PMSE and Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta organized an electric motorcycle convoy, encouraging clean energy alternatives and promoting the benefits of using electric vehicles to reduce carbon footprints. The convoy was accompanied by local police officers and passed through several locations, including the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant site, a project managed by PMSE. The convoy's fun ride was an engaging way to raise awareness about sustainable living, aligning with PMSE’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental responsibility.
The day’s activities culminated with a tree planting ceremony at the PMSE site office area. Employees of PMSE, along with representatives from Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta participated in planting trees. This gesture not only contributed to environmental conservation but also symbolized the companies’ collective commitment to improving the local ecosystem.
The program concluded with a visit to the Cirata Reservoir History Gallery, where participants learned about the significance of the Cirata Dam in the region’s infrastructure and its role in supporting clean energy initiatives.
PMSE’s CSR program on International Disability Day 2024 was a meaningful demonstration of the company’s commitment to both social welfare and environmental sustainability. By partnering with Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta, PMSE was able to reach a wide community and make a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities, the elderly, orphans, and those facing other social challenges.
Martha Parulina Berliana, the Head of Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta, expressed her gratitude for the collaboration, stating, "And most importantly, our journey today with PMSE is aimed at fostering synergy in empowering the vulnerable community while still paying attention to environmental sustainability and togetherness."
This collaborative event highlights the power of public-private partnerships in creating lasting social and environmental impact. PMSE’s efforts reflect its ongoing dedication to fostering a more inclusive and sustainable future for Indonesia, marking a milestone in its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
