PMSE Introduces Environmental Awareness through CSR Program in Purwakarta Elementary Schools
In commemorating the UAE National Day 2024, PMSE, as a binational company between Indonesia and the UAE, was proud to host a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event named PMSE Education Support Program, held on December 6, 2024. The event took place at three elementary schools in Purwakarta Regency and West Bandung Regency: SDN 1 Citamiang, SDN 2 Sinargalih, and SDN Ciroyom Hilir.
This event aimed to promote environmental stewardship, creativity, and scientific curiosity among young students while celebrating the values of unity, progress, and sustainability that both the UAE and Indonesia hold dear.
In addition to giving a brief presentation on Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant, the event also included various activities that involved the active participation of the students. The students along with the teachers and PMSE representatives planted trees in the area around the school building, as part of the effort to protect the surrounding environment and raise awareness of the importance of greenery and ecosystem balance. In addition, PMSE also donated backpacks to support students' school needs, as well as color-coded bins that teach students how to sort waste according to its category to support recycling efforts in the school environment. To further entertain and educate the students, PMSE also organized exciting science show experiments, which gave students more insight into scientific phenomena related to the environment and renewable energy.
By engaging the younger generation, PMSE hopes that this initiative will raise awareness of the importance of caring for our planet. PMSE believes that environmental and climate education should have a wider space in educational institutions, as it is in line with the values that PMSE continues to uphold. While PMSE is committed to being a leading company in the field of green energy, it also recognizes that taking care of our planet is a shared responsibility of mankind. By influencing the minds of young people, as simple as educating them on the importance of keeping the surrounding environment green and dividing waste into three different categories for recycling efforts, PMSE contributes to internalizing awareness of environmental sustainability.
